Juan Monaco beat Carlos Berlocq 6-3, 6-7 (1), 6-1 in an all-Argentina final at the Vina del Mar VTR Open on Sunday for his fourth ATP title. The top-seeded Monaco claimed his first title since winning three in 2007 -- and all have come on clay. The victory marked a breakthrough for the 27-year-old Monaco, who lost in the final at this tournament in 2008 and 2010.

Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova rallied to beat Germany's Sabine Lisicki on Sunday, sending defending champion Czech Republic into the semifinals of the Fed Cup. Tomas Berdych won his seventh career title Sunday, beating defending champion Gael Monfils 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 in the Open Sud de France final. The top-seeded Czech broke for a 5-3 lead in the final set on a double fault from Monfils. He wrapped it up with his 12th ace. "It was very close in the end. I'm happy that I was able to do it," Berdych told Canal Plus television.

Carla Suarez Navarro routed Nadia Petrova 6-0, 6-3 in the first reverse singles Sunday to give Spain its first point in the Fed Cup World Group first round match against Russia. Maria Sharapova and Svetlana Kuznetsova easily won their opening singles to give Russia a 2-0 lead on Saturday. Lukas Lacko of Slovakia reached his first ATP final when he ousted 2007 champion Marcos Baghdatis 7-5, 7-6 (3) in the Zagreb Indoors semifinals on Saturday. Lacko, playing on the main tour since 2007, will face third-seeded Mikhail Youzhny, who is seeking his eighth title in his 18th career final. Wickmayer pulls Belgium even with Serbia (AP)
Jelena Jankovic of Serbia and Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium won in straight sets Saturday, leaving this opening-round Fed Cup series tied after the first day. Replay expanded in Davis Cup, Fed Cup (AP)
The International Tennis Federation says it is expanding the use of Hawk-Eye replay technology to all rounds of the Davis Cup and Fed Cup World Groups. Last year, the ITF used the system from the Davis Cup quarterfinals and Fed Cup semifinals. But the federation has now added Hawk-Eye to the first rounds in both competitions as well as the Fed Cup playoffs.
Roddick on track for return at San Jose (AP)
Andy Roddick remains on track to return at the SAP Open in San Jose, even though he says he hasn't hit a tennis ball since hurting his right hamstring in the second round of the Australian Open. Rafael Nadal says his fiscal requirements are up to date after a Spanish website reported the Australian Open finalist had set up several companies to trim his tax bill.
